We’re delighted to announce that Club Captain Kevin Smith has agreed to extend his stay at Bayview for another year.
Kevin joined the club in January 2014, initially on loan, from Dumbarton and made his debut against Forfar Athletic the same month. He was appointed Captain for the start of the 2015/16 season and guided the team to the League Two title that year.
To date, Kevin has 177 East Fife appearances to his name (34 so far this season) making him the club’s longest serving player. He has scored on 40 occasions for East Fife, 8 of which have come this season, including a goal of the season contender in a 2-0 victory against Queen of the South in the Irn Bru Cup.
This year’s Supporters Club Player of the Year Dance takes place on Saturday 4th May at The Locality Hub Bayview Stadium following our final home league game of the season. The dance will be hosted by Liam Anderson and will include speeches from Chairman Jim Stevenson and Manager Darren Young.
A variety of awards are presented on the night including Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year, Top Goal Scorer and Goal of the Season, which is voted for on the night, as well as awards presented by the East Fife Board of Directors, East Fife Supporters Trust and East Fife Community Football Club. We will also be taking a look back at some of the ‘lighter’ moments of the season.
Tickets are priced at £15 for Supporters’ Club members and £20 for non-members which includes a buffet and entertainment from The Full Maxi Band. To purchase your ticket, Joyce or Jim in the entrance tunnel on home match days. Tickets will be on sale from tomorrow. Please note, this event is open to over 18s only.
As FFTC are taking additional booking for the pitch it means it is used on Friday nights and Saturday mornings and this means that the pitch does not look at its best for EFFC 3.00 pm kick off games and, although less of a problem, Tuesday mid-week games.
Both FFTC and EFFC agree that the pitch should be brushed before these games and are looking for someone who can carry out this work on a Saturday morning between approximately 11.30 and 13.30. Ideally the person will have experience of driving a groundcare type tractor but this is not essential as training can be given.

We’re delighted to announce the signing on Chris Higgins on loan from Ayr United until the end of the season.
Chris joined Clyde for the start of the 2005/06 season and was part of the side who knocked Celtic out of the Scottish Cup the same season and went on to make over 100 appearances. He then moved on to Dunfermline Athletic in 2009 and helped the team gain promotion to the SPL the following season. His next stop was Queen of the South where, as Club Captain, the Doonhamers won the Scottish Second Division title and the Scottish Challenge Cup in the 2012/13 season. After making over 200 appearances for Queen of the South, Chris left to join Ayr United at the start of last season when they won the Scottish League One title.
Chris will train with the squad tonight a head of Saturday’s Ladbrokes League 1 match against Forfar Athletic.
Welcome to Bayview Chris!
