The club was saddened to hear of the death of East Fife supporter George Rowbotham who passed away at home on Friday 22nd May, with his family by his side, after a short battle with cancer.

Although George had lived in Tonypandy, South Wales for many years, with his wife, three children and five grandchildren, he remained a true and loyal East Fife supporter and was thrilled to be able to attend a game last August, before his diagnosis, while on a visit to family in Fife.

George has a plaque at Bayview which was presented to him for his 70th birthday in December but sadly never had a chance to see it himself.

The thoughts of everyone at East Fife are with George’s family and friends at this time.
