It has been mutually agreed between the club and Thomas Collins that the player be made available for transfer.
Thomas made 8 appearances for East Fife after joining from BSC Glasgow last summer but found it difficult to establish himself in the first team, spending the second half of the season on loan at Stenhousemuir.
Everyone at East Fife wishes Thomas well in finding a new club.
We’re delighted to announce that Aaron Steele has signed a permanent contract with the club.
The 19-year-old defender made 5 appearances while on loan from St. Johnstone at the end of last season, scoring his first senior goal on his first senior, start against Dumbarton in April.
The draw for the group stages of the Premier Sports Cup took place today and we’ve been drawn in Group B along with Dundee United, Arbroath, Elgin City and Kelty Hearts.
The matches a scheduled to be played on the following date:
Matchday 1: 10/11th July
Matchday 2: 13/14th July
Matchday 3: 17/18th July
Matchday 4: 20/21st July
Matchday 5: 24/25th July.
The full fixture list will be confirmed next week.
Dear Supporter,
Now that the dust has settled on the stop start season that was 2020/21, we are now focusing all our efforts on Season 2021/22.
It is always sad to see players leaving the club, but I can genuinely say that I wish Brett Long, Jordan Hart, Craig Watson, Kyle Bell and Josh McConville the very best in their future careers and I thank them for all their efforts during their time at Bayview.
You will have seen in the press, and on social media, that Darren [Young] has wasted no time in making several new signings with Scott Gallacher, Connor McManus, Sean Brown and Mark McGuigan agreeing to join the club ahead of pre-season training starting on the 10th of June, as well as re-signing the remainder of the first team squad from last season. I am sure that we will see a few more new faces arriving in the coming weeks.
There are many things going on behind the scenes to prepare the stadium for the welcome return of you, the fans, to Bayview and that brings me on to season tickets and pay-at-the-gate prices for the new season. Existing season ticket holders have been contacted separately regarding the outstanding balance on the 2020/21 season tickets.
For the forthcoming 2021/22 season we fully expect to be playing a full season of 36 games (18 at home) and with that in mind we have fixed our season ticket and pay-at-the-gate prices at the same level as 2019/20 which means we will have retained the same prices for the last 4 years.
The full list of prices is as follows :
Adult - £245
Concession (including over 60s) - £195
Under 16 - £40 (£2.22/game)
Over 80s - £20 administration fee
Ticket for armed forces - £25 donation to Help for Heroes via the Club
Season ticket holders will also have free access to any live streaming of our Under 20s home games which we hope to do regularly in the coming season.
There will be an important change to the concession prices (both ST and walk up) from the start of season 2022/23. The age for qualification for this will raise from 60 to 65 which is in line with the majority of clubs at this level.
At the time of writing this letter, we fully expect to have fans back in the stadium, albeit with some sort of restrictions. Should that be the case, season ticket holders will be granted first access to all home League 1 games. It is therefore important that existing season ticket holders renew as early as possible to ensure that they do not miss out on access. It could be that the numbers we will be allowed in the stadium will fall short the number of season tickets we sell. That being the case, renewals will receive first priority access to the game. Those not granted access will be entitled to receive access to the live match stream through EFTV for home League 1 games only.
Whilst season tickets do not include League Cup games, season ticket holders will again be offered first refusal on tickets to these games. However, should any season holders not wish to attend these games, we would greatly appreciate early notification to allow us to calculate how many individual match tickets we can sell in advance. Please note that for matches with restricted access there will be no pay-at-the-gate.
You will also notice a huge difference in the issuing season tickets and match day tickets in this coming season and beyond. We are in the throes of finalising a partnership with Future Ticketing to install an electronic system for the purchase of tickets and for entry to the stadium. This will make it possible to purchase tickets and reserve your seats ahead of games. Purchases can be made up to kick off time via the internet and mobile devices. We will, of course, release full details once the system is installed.
With regards to Season Ticket sales, please watch our social media and club website for further announcements. Please do not contact the club office beforehand.
Once again, I would like to thank you our loyal supporters for your backing during what has been a very difficult and traumatic 18 months. I am sure that with you back in the stadium supporting the team we can push on even further next season.
Yours in sport
Jim Stevenson
We’re delighted to announce that striker Sean Brown has signed a one-year deal with the club.
The 23-year-old joined us in March, on loan from East Stirlingshire, and featured on 10 occasions and scoring his first goal against Forfar Athletic on the penultimate day of the season.
Darren Young: “It took Sean a few games to find his feet at this level last season but we felt he improved game on game and probably had his best game for us on the last day of the season against Clyde so we’re really please to have him on board again for next season”.
We’re delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Scott Gallacher on a 2-year contract.
