We’re delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Ali Adams on a 1-year deal.
32-year-old Ali is an experienced keeper, counting Musselburgh Athletic, Tranent, Berwick Rangers, Bo’ness United and Linlithgow Rose, where he won the Scottish Junior Cup, among his former clubs before spending last season with Arbroath in the Championship. Ali also had a brief stint at Bayview during the Covid-hit 2020/21 season while on loan from Tranent.
Assistant Manager Ian Campbell: “Ali is a really solid and experienced keeper, excellent with the ball at his feet and has a first-class attitude. He will complete strongly with Allan Fleming for the number 1 jersey this season.”
Ali will join up with the squad when they return to training next month.
Welcome to Bayview Ali!
We can confirm that Jonathan Page, Reece Beveridge, Ryan Schiavone and Jacob Comerford will leave the club when their contracts expire next month.
Pagey returned to the club in January 2023, after an initial spell as a vital member of our 2015/16 League Two title winning team. Over two spells at the club, Page took his tally of appearances in the Black & Gold to 173 and found the net on 14 occasions.
Reece joined the club in September 2022, making his debut in October that year at Ochilview in the Scottish Cup. He totalled 3 appearances during his time at the club, keeping 1 clean sheet in our SPFL Trust Trophy victory over Dundee B at Dens Park earlier this season.
Ryan signed for the club in July 2022 after leaving Hearts and had a breakthrough first season, scoring 7 goals in 29 league appearances but was unable to replicate the same form this season. He leaves the club with 73 East Fife appearances to his name.
Jacob joined the club last summer from Dundee United, making his debut in the League Cup against Motherwell in July 2023. Injury unfortunately saw his playing time limited this season, managing only 11 appearances after picking up an injury in December.
Everyone at East Fife would like to thank Jonathan, Reece, Ryan and Jacob for all their effort while at the club and wish them all the best for the future.
Discussions remain ongoing with other members of last year’s squad, and we’ll provide an update when available.
