We’re delighted to announce the signing of Robbie Hamilton on loan from Hibs until the end of the season.
19-year-old midfielder Robbie came through the youth ranks at Easter Road and made his debut for the club aged just 17, coming off the bench in a 4-0 victory over St. Johnstone in May 2022. He had a loan spell with Stirling Albion last season when they won the League Two title.
With this loan move, Robbie becomes a 3rd generation Hamilton to sign for the Black & Gold after his Dad and Grandad, both Jim – a first for the club!
Dad Jim made 9 appearances for us in 2011, scoring his only goal for the club against Ayr United at Somerset Park, while Grandad Jim’s name is part of East Fife folklore after he scored the only goal of the match when managerless East Fife defeated Rangers 1-0 at Ibrox in 1973.
Manager Greig McDonald: “I’m delighted to make Robbie our first signing of this window. He impressed us when he was on loan at Stirling Albion last season and with his performances for Hibs development team. He will bring energy and quality to the squad.”
Welcome to Bayview Robbie!
