After last week's narrow defeat in the Scottish Cup, East Fife will be hoping to keep their impressive league form going as they entertain Brechin City at Bayview Stadium.

Speaking earlier today, manager Barry Smith was keen to build on the positives from the 3-2 loss to St Mirren.

"The boys are looking forward to the game. Nobody likes getting beat but everyone could see that we competed well against a side from a higher division. Tomorrow we have a chance to go above Brechin City in the league but we can expect another tough game."

Injury troubles continue to affect the Methil men and Smith admitted that his squad, not for the the first time this season, are down to the bare bones.

"Luke Watt has strained his hamstring and could be out for around four weeks. Scott Robinson will also miss tomorrow's game, but we are still going into the match looking for the win."

This will be the third meeting of the sides this season, with the away side coming on top in both encounters. The Angus club secured a 2-1 win back in August, while the Fifers earned a 1-0 victory in the return at Glebe Park in December thanks to a Scott Robinson strike.

As always, the stadium bars are open to both sets of supporters to enjoy pre and post match refreshments.
