Bayview Stadium awaits East Fife's most eagerly anticipated cup tie for a number of years as the men from Methil face St Mirren for a place in the last eight. Speaking earlier today, manager Barry Smith looked ahead to the tie.
"It's a great game to be involved in. The players are really looking forward to it, facing opponents in a higher league. It's going to be another tough game against a full-time side but we are doing well ourselves. If we play to our potential and everyone does their job then we have every chance."
The Fifers are enjoying a fine run of form, currently unbeaten in eleven games but they need no reminding of the task in hand as the Buddies saw off Premiership opposition Dundee in the last round at Dens Park.
The sides have met twice before in the Scottish Cup with the Paisley side progressing in 1971after two replays, while only one replay was required in 1986.
It will be pay at the gate tomorrow with fans reminded to arrive in good time to avoid any last minute congestion. As a featured match the Scottish Cup trophy, the oldest in world football will be on display for anyone wanting a souvenir pic. A special edition of our award winning matchday programme The Bayview will be on sale in and around the ground and, as always, the stadium bars will be open for both sets of supporters to enjoy pre and post match refreshments.
