Tomorrow's League One match against Peterhead will kick off at 12 noon BST.
We’ve been crunching the numbers this week and are delighted to be able to Congratulate Scott Agnew on making his 500th career appearance last weekend!
Aggy started his senior career at Hamilton Academical, making his debut in a 4-2 victory over Dundee at Dens Park in August 2006 before moving to Alloa Athletic for the start of the 2007/08 season then on to Ayr United the following season in which they were promoted to the First Division in 2008/09.
Scott joined Alloa on loan for the first half on the 2009/10 season before spending the second half on the year on loan at Stranraer, making the move to Stair Park permanent at the end of the season. Next up was a move to Dumbarton where he spent four seasons, including winning promotion to the First Division in 2011/12.
A one-year spell with St. Mirren in 2015/16 was followed by a return to Stranraer for the start of the 2016/17 season before making the move to Bayview in the summer of 2018 where he’s scored 23 goals in 92 appearances.
Speaking after reaching the milestone Scott had this message: “A big thank you to all of the clubs I’ve played for and to my teammates throughout that time, I’ve met some brilliant people. Hopefully there’s plenty more appearances to come!”.
East Fife Manager Darren Young: “It’s an absolutely brilliant achievement to reach 500 appearances, we are all delighted for him. It wasn’t too long ago we were congratulating him on scoring his 100th career goal which is another great achievement in his successful career. Aggy has been a great servant for the club and has been a credit to himself and his family.”.
“Congratulations Scott! This is a fantastic achievement for someone who has been a model pro since joining East Fife 3 years ago.” Jim Stevenson, East Fife Chairman.
Congratulations Aggy on reaching this fantastic milestone, here’s to many more to come!
Everyone at East Fife was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Ian Cook early today.
Along with his brother Dennis, Ian was a life-long East Fife supporter and long-term club volunteer who was responsible for looking after the club shop.
Our thoughts are with Ian’s wife Christine, daughters Pauleen & Michelle and their families.
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve agreed terms with forward Greig Spence to join on loan from Stenhousemuir until the end of the season.
28-year-old Greig started his senior career at Alloa Athletic where he broke into the first team as a 16-year-old before spells at Celtic, Hamilton, Raith Rovers (twice), Cowdenbeath and Arbroath in addition to 3 further stints at Recreation Park.
Greig will join up with the squad ahead of tomorrow’s match against Clyde.
We would like to put on record our gratitude to our friends at Stenhousemuir for their help in concluding the deal.
Welcome to Bayview Greig!
