East Fife Joinery Extend Sponsorship Deal

We’re delighted to announce that our away and third strips will for 2020/21 and 2021/22 will again be sponsored by East Fife Joinery Ltd. who are now entering their fifth season as the club’s main sponsor.

Speaking at the launch, Chairman Jim Stevenson said:

“We’re absolutely delighted that East Fife Joinery has agreed to extend their sponsorship with East Fife Football Club and I would like to thank them for their continued support of the club”.

Murray Dunsire (Managing Director of EFJ) said:

East Fife Joinery Ltd, is a family owned business formed in 2007. The Dunsire family have been in the construction industry since the early 1950’s and the current owners, Murray, George & Angela Dunsire continue to operate in the very same premises where it all began 70 years ago.

Their experience includes, new build, refurbishment & alterations, extensions, repair, and manufactured joinery works within a variety of sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, local authority, listed buildings, and conservation works.

East Fife Joinery (EFJ) offices are centrally located in Colinsburgh, Fife, with its own fully operational manufacturing workshop, plant & material store and currently have contracts in Fife, Edinburgh, the central belt and Tayside

The quality of their product and the infrastructure that supports the products is paramount to the success of their firm.

Their Board of Directors will be involved from inception to completion on each project, coupled with their experienced management team, they have the resources and workforce to ensure client satisfaction throughout the life cycle of the project.

East Fife TV caught up with Club Captain Kevin Smith as he prepares to start his 8th season at Bayview

The club was saddened to learn of the passing of former player Archie Smith.

After signing from Bayview Youth Club in December 1949, Smith made his first appearance in a Fife Cup final win against Cowdenbeath in April 1951, before manager Scot Symon handed him his competitive debut at right back the following August in a 1-0 League Cup victory over Queen of the South at Bayview.

Smith made a further three first team appearances, alongside players of the calibre of Sammy Stewart, Willie Finlay, Charlie Fleming, Henry Morris and Davie Duncan amongst others. In 1953 he moved to Tannadice to join Dundee United where he turned out on 12 occasions before joining Arbroath. Unfortunately a knee injury would prevent him from appearing for the Red Lichties and brought a premature end to his footballing career.

A native of Buckhaven, later moving to Methilhill, Archie Smith continued to cheer on his favourites at Bayview and as recently as last season was attending games as a season ticket holder.

East Fife Football Club would like to extend our condolences to Archie’s family and friends at this sad time.
