We’re delighted to announce the signing of Sean Docherty on a 1-year deal.
The 19-year-old full-back came through the youth ranks at Heart of Midlothian, signing a professional contract when he turned 16 in 2019. Following a short stint in America, Sean returned to Scotland last year and was on the books of Lowland League side Gala Fairydean Rovers last season.
Manager Greig McDonald: “Sean trained with us at times last season whilst also playing with Gala Fairydean. He returned for pre-season and has impressed us with his calmness on the ball and aggressiveness in his defending. He is another young player we see potential and development in and we’re looking forward to working with him this season”.
Welcome to Bayview Sean!
We’re delighted to announce the signing of Jacob Comerford on a 1-year deal.
The 19-year-old central defender joined Dundee United as part of their U18s squad in 2020 before signing his first professional contract with the club in January 2021. He spent last season at Cumbernauld Colts where he made 15 appearances for the Lowland League side while on loan from United.
Manager Greig McDonald: “Jacob really impressed us when he played as a trialist for Cowdenbeath on Tuesday night, and I’m delighted he has chosen to join us. Paul worked with him as kid at Hearts before he went to Dundee United so knows him well. He’s a big lad, aggressive, and comfortable on the ball with a lot of potential and I confident he will be a great addition to the team”.
Jacob joined up with the squad at training last night ahead of tomorrow’s friendly match against Raith Rovers.
Welcome to Bayview Jacob!
We’re delighted to announce the signing of Brian Easton on a 1-year deal.
The central defender joins the club from Hamilton Academical where he made 233 appearances for the club over 3 spells. Brian’s career has also seen him turn out for Burnley, Dundee and St. Johnstone, where he was part of their Scottish Cup winning side in 2014.
Manager Greig McDonald: “We’re delighted to bring Brian to the club. He obviously brings a wealth of experience to the club having played over 450 games in his career, with over half of those being in the SPFL. Having been captain at Hamilton for a number of years he’s used to working with young players and therefore he will be a great fit for us.
“He’s a leader, and very vocal on the pitch, but when we met up it was his desire to play and his enthusiasm for the challenge that really shown through. I look forward to working with Brian and I’m sure he’ll receive a warm welcome from everyone at the club”.
Brian joined up with the squad at training tonight and will be part of the squad for Saturday’s friendly match against Raith Rovers.
Welcome to Bayview Brian!
