Dear Supporters
I am pleased to announce that existing season ticket holders will be able to renew their pass for season 2021/22 from 9am tomorrow (Wednesday 9th June 2021).
Purchase of new season tickets will only be available from 9am on Wednesday 23rd June 2021.
As I have mentioned before, should we still operating with restricted crowds attending games then season ticket holders will receive priority access and this will purely be on a first come, first served basis. Although a maximum crowd of 1000 is permitted under Level 1 restrictions, we are currently in negotiation with Fife Council regarding the exact number of fans we will be allowed to maintain social distancing. As things stand, we could be looking at being restricted to under 300 fans. We had over 300 season ticket holders last season, therefore it is imperative that you renew your season ticket as soon as possible.
We will make every effort to give everyone their reserved seat, but this may not be possible due to social distancing. It may be, however, that you will be required to sit where seating is available, these seats will be clearly delineated within the stadium. To assist us with this it would be greatly appreciated if, when purchasing your season ticket, you can advise us if you wish to be seated with family members or members of your social bubble. That way we can adjust our social distancing accordingly.I fully appreciate that this is not an ideal situation but with your assistance we will achieve the best possible seating for you.
Should the number of season ticket holders exceed the restricted access numbers then those who cannot be accommodated will receive ‘free’ access to the live streaming of the game through our EFTV service. Please be aware that your season ticket will provide you with either access to the stadium OR access to the live stream, not both! We are able to monitor this and if the same pass is being used to access both it may result in your season ticket being suspended.
We have arranged a friendly against TNS (The New Saints) who play in the Welsh Premier League for Wednesday 23rd June 2021 with a 7.30pm kick off at Bayview. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate fans in the stadium for this game however, your season ticket will provide you with free access to the EFTV live stream. We will confirm details of our other friendlies very shortly.
For the immediate term, the office at Bayview remains closed, therefore renewals of season tickets can be purchased from Wednesday 9th June 2021 through the club shop (www.eastfifeshop.com) or by calling 01333 426323 between the hours of 9am – 5pm Monday to Thursday or 9am – 4pm Friday. We will announce when the new credit card style season tickets will be available for uplift at the earliest possible opportunity.
Apologies for the long-winded form of this letter but I wanted to clarify as much as possible at this stage.
Yours in sport
Jim Stevenson
Chairman
It has been mutually agreed between the club and Thomas Collins that the player be made available for transfer.
Thomas made 8 appearances for East Fife after joining from BSC Glasgow last summer but found it difficult to establish himself in the first team, spending the second half of the season on loan at Stenhousemuir.
Everyone at East Fife wishes Thomas well in finding a new club.
We’re delighted to announce that Aaron Steele has signed a permanent contract with the club.
The 19-year-old defender made 5 appearances while on loan from St. Johnstone at the end of last season, scoring his first senior goal on his first senior, start against Dumbarton in April.
The draw for the group stages of the Premier Sports Cup took place today and we’ve been drawn in Group B along with Dundee United, Arbroath, Elgin City and Kelty Hearts.
The matches a scheduled to be played on the following date:
Matchday 1: 10/11th July
Matchday 2: 13/14th July
Matchday 3: 17/18th July
Matchday 4: 20/21st July
Matchday 5: 24/25th July.
The full fixture list will be confirmed next week.
