Match Preview - Clyde

We travel to Braodwood Stadium this afternoon to face Clyde in the 4^th match between the sides this season. Clyde currently sit in 6^th position in cinch League One on 33 points.

Squad News

Aaron Steele returns to the squad having missed last week’s match however long-term injuries to Ross Davidson, Scott Gallacher and Connor McManus continue to see them side lined.

As always, the welfare of all of the players will be assessed on completion of their matchday Covid tests.

Team Colours

East Fife will be in our traditional colours of black & gold tops, black shorts and black stockings with the goalkeeper in all-blue.

Clyde will be wearing white strips, white shorts and white stockings with the goalkeeper in all-green.

Match Tickets

Tickets for today’s match are available to buy online here ahead of the game. Please note, there will be no cash turnstiles. It is strongly recommended that tickets are purchased in advance to avoid the need to queue on matchdays. Tickets can be presented digitally or printed at home. Those wishing to pay by cash or contactless must purchase a ticket from the ticket window adjacent to Turnstile C.

Concessions* - £14

Under 18s** - £5

Under 12s** - £1

*Over 65s and full-time students. Proof of eligibility may be requested

All supporters should enter via the double doors to the left of Turnstile D. East Fife supporters will be seated in the South end of the Main Stand.

Car Parking

There will be no parking available at the front of the stadium due to the COVID-19 test centre in the car park. However, those travelling to the stadium by car should note that there will be a limited number of spaces in away car park at the rear of the South Stand. Other car parking provision can also be accessed within the Broadwood Campus and surrounding areas. Supporters are encouraged to arrive early to obtain one of the limited designated car parking spaces available. 

Live Streaming

Those unable to attend today’s match in person can watch the match via Clyde FC for £13. Coverage will start around 2.45pm. The match can be purchased here. A help guide to the streaming service can be found here. Please note, due to broadcasting restrictions this match cannot be live streamed to viewers in England.

East Fife TV Overseas Gold subscribers can watch the match for free as part of their regular subscription. Commentator for today’s match is Stephen Mill.

Matchday Catering

The Arria Fanzone will be open for both home and away supporters from 1pm until kick-off. Access can be gained by entering through the gate to the left of Turnstile D and following the signs.

Exciting News From the Kevin Smith Testimonial Committee

A series of five special events to mark ‘King Kev’s’ testimonial year is being organised, and the chance to be part of the celebrations is open to supporters of all ages.

Three of the events have still to be finalised, but the Testimonial Committee is delighted to announce that bookings can now be taken for two of the big attractions.

This is your chance to say ‘thank you’ to East Fife’s longest serving player and be directly involved in what are sure to be unforgettable occasions alongside the club’s popular captain. Please be aware that none of these events will be run by East Fife FC, and all communications should be directed to the Testimonial Committee via the links at the bottom of the page.

All monies raised go to Kevin directly. Please support any event you can.

Event 1: Brunch & Meet the Title-Winning Team of 2016

Come along to Bayview and have a full Scottish breakfast in the company of the East Fife squad who won the 2016 League 2 Championship, along with a selection of Kev’s other former teammates. The event will include a question and answer with the players and guests. Book now to avoid disappointment. The event starts at 11am and ends at 2pm, and tickets are £20.

Event 2: East Fife Fans v East Fife Title Winners 2016

This is a unique chance to play for an East Fife Fans team against the players who won the league title in 2016, at Bayview Stadium. Only 33 spaces are available, and each player will be entitled to 30 minutes on the park against our most celebrated team of the last decade – with the Fans team managed by a surprise guest!

Places on the Fans team are available on a first-come, first-served basis and each player will receive a special one-off strip with their name and chosen number on the back, as per the attached graphic. The fans team will sport the gold & black kit while the 2016 squad will wear the white version. This will be a brilliant keepsake and is well worth the cost of taking part on its own. The match will be a once-in-a-lifetime event for many fans and is guaranteed to be great fun so be sure to book early. The full-scale, 90-minute game will kick off at 2pm (just after the separate Brunch event), and the match fee for fans who want to take part is £60. Participants must be aged 16 or over.

Collection for Ukraine Humanitarian Relief

Saturday’s collection in aid of the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal raised a total of £1000 (inc. a donation from the club). Thank you to everyone who contributed.

More than a million people have fled their homes in Ukraine and are in need of food, water, shelter and medical assistance. DEC member charities are on the ground in Ukraine and in bordering countries, bring vital lifesaving aid to those in need.

The DEC is a coalition of 15 of the biggest aid charities in the UK – including Red Cross, Save the Children, Christian Aid, Oxfam, International Rescue Committee and many more.
