BOBBY BARR ARRIVES AT BAYVIEW STADIUM

PDF Print E-mail

Bobby Barr March 2008East Fife are delighted to announce that they have today (Friday 21st September) signed Bobby Barr from Livingston on a three month loan deal.

Bobby’s first senior club was St Johnstone, for whom he signed in August 2005 as a midfielder.

In March 2008 Bobby went out on loan to Albion Rovers, where he made ten appearances for the Coatbridge side before the end of the 2007/08 season, scoring three goals in the process. In fact, Bobby actually made his debut for Rovers at Bayview Stadium (pictured left) in a no-scoring draw on 8th March 2008, on a day when a victory for the Fife would have landed them the Third Division Championship!

His transfer to Albion Rovers was made permanent at the beginning of the following season, and Bobby went on to net fourteen goals in thirty seven appearances during that campaign; a feat which won him the SFL Third Division Player of the Year and SPFA Third Division Player of the Year awards.

Following a two-month loan spell with Brechin City, Bobby was transferred to Livingston in January 2010, where he established himself as a regular in the side, turning out 89 times for the Almondvale club over the past two seasons and netting thirteen goals.
