Wardlaw Gareth

Striker Gareth Wardlaw has this morning (Saturday 9th June) signed for the club.

The 33 year-old has become well known to East Fife fans in recent years as a forward to be reckoned with, scoring three times against the black and gold whilst playing for Cowdenbeath a couple of seasons ago. He also turned out for Raith Rovers against the Fife back in season 2008/09.

Gareth began his Senior career at the relatively late age of 25 when he signed for Ayr United from Burntisland Shipyard in November 2004.

After 111 appearances over four seasons for the Honest Men, during which he scored 28 goals, Gareth returned to Fife to sign for Raith in May 2008 before moving on to Cowdenbeath a year later, where he netted 19 goals in 38 appearances.

He then followed Cowden manager Danny Lennon to St.Mirren in July 2010, before returning for a second spell with Ayr United in June 2011.

Gareth brings with him a wealth of experience which is sure to be an asset to the club.

Welcome to Bayview Stadium, Gareth!
